Creating a Confirmation Page
Use Form Confirmation Pages so that your site visitors can confirm that the information they've entered on a form is correct and, if changes need to be made, the visitors can reset the form and begin again. By default, FrontPage creates a generic confirmation page, but you can create your own confirmation page—from a template or custom page— to replace the default one.
Create a Confirmation Page Using a Template
Click the New button list arrow on the Standard toolbar, and then click Page.
Click the Confirmation Form icon.
Click OK.
Modify the text you want displayed after a visitor has submitted a form anywhere on the page, and then select the text.
To modify a field (bracketed text), double-click the field, type a field name, and then click OK.
To add more confirmation fields, click the Insert menu, click Web Component, click Advanced Controls, click Confirmation Field, and then click Finish.
Create and Attach a Custom Confirmation Page
Click the File menu, click New, and then click Blank Page on the task pane.
Enter the text you want displayed after a visitor has submitted a form anywhere on the page, and then select the text.
Click the Insert menu' and then click Web Component.
Click Advanced Controls.
Click Confirmation Field.
Click Finish.
Enter the form field from which to display your information. This name must match the name you assigned the form field when you selected its properties.
Click OK.
The name of the field is displayed in brackets on the form. When the confirmation form is displayed to a site visitor, the field displays the visitor's entry. | Repeat these steps for each field you want to display. |
