Applying Fill Effects
Applying a fill effect to a drawing object can add emphasis or create a point of interest in your page. FrontPage offers fill effects such as gradients, patterns, textures, and even clip art pictures. Spend a few minutes in the Fill Effects dialog box to create the right look for your drawing object.
Apply a Picture Fill
| Select the object you want to fill, click the Fill Color button list arrow on the Drawing toolbar, and then click Fill Effects. |
| Click the Picture tab. |
| Click Select Picture. |
| Locate the picture you want, and then double-click it. |
| Click OK. |
Apply a Gradient Fill
| Select the object you want to fill, click the Fill Color button list arrow on the Drawing toolbar, and then click Fill Effects. |
| Click the Gradient tab. |
| Click the color or color combination you want. |
| Click the shading style option you want. |
| Click the variant you want. |
| Click OK. |
Apply a Pattern Fill
| Select the object you want to fill, click the Fill Color button list arrow on the Drawing toolbar, and then click Fill Effects. |
| Click the Pattern tab. |
| Click the Foreground list arrow to select the color you want in the foreground. |
| Click the Background list arrow to select the color you want in the background. |
| Click the pattern you want. |
| Click OK. |
You can change the fill to match the background.
Select the object, click the Format menu, click AutoShape, click the Colors And Lines tab, click the Fill Color button list arrow, click Background, and then click OK.
You can apply fill effects to other objects.
