Setting VML Options
When you create drawings, AutoShapes, and WordArt objects in FrontPage, the program stores the elements as a collection of lines, curves, and other shapes instead of a picture. This format is called VML, which stores the information in XML format. Since not all browsers support VML, FrontPage provides the Downlevel Image File option on the Page Options dialog box to automatically save GIF versions of every drawing, AutoShape, and WordArt object you create to avoid the problems. If for some reason, the drawing, AutoShape, and WordArt tools are not available on menus and toolbar, you can enable the the VML Graphics option in the Page Options dialog box.
