Working with Folders View

The Folders view displays all files and folders currently under construction. To access this view, click the Web Site tab or click Folders on the View menu. Two main folders (Private and Images) are created for all new template-based sites, regardless of the wizard you used. However, templates and wizards do create additional files and folders.

The Web folder is tagged by the web's location, the name that you entered in the Specify The Location Of The New Web box. If you did not specify a location, your web is stored in the default location C:\My Documents\My Web Sites\folder. The Private folder contains any information obtained from special forms or any other data input objects on the site and cannot be accessed by a visitor. Finally, the Images folder enables you to store any images, from digital photos to clip art, which are part of this web.

You can open files in this view by double-clicking them. Files will be opened in Page view. You can delete files from your web in Folders view by selecting the file and pressing the Delete key.
